About Us

             CommTech Systems, Inc. is a California State Certified Small Business DVBE (Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise, DGS No. 41194) as well as a Certified SDVOSB (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business).

 

             CommTech Systems provides network engineering services and support to the US Navy SPAWAR PACIFIC Command.  A major project is the DHS ACSD (Advanced Conveyance Security Device) program. This program is designed to provide cargo security assurance for container shipments; and other conveyances through US Ports of entry.  CommTech Systems wireless network systems provide SCADA applications the ability to connect to remote sensors, and to inexpensively tie networks together.  Currently CommTech is providing traffic system engineering and integration services for wireless networks to the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) by installing intelligent Java enabled modems in traffic data cabinets.  These IP addressable networks provide a bi-directional connection to any number or type of metering device.  We are automating the sensor collection for traffic monitoring, by providing the wireless infrastructure that links the Traffic Management Center with the traffic censors embedded in the freeways and roads.  CommTech conducts site surveys; it provides for signal analysis, validation of sensors, and installation and maintenance services

 

             In addition, our staff has extensive experiences in developing and executing Anti Terrorist/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Plans for Federal Agencies.  We developed the Camp Pendleton, All Hazards Base Force Protection Plan, we updated and developed Memorandums of Understand with local law and fire agencies to ensure any response to an emergency was a measured community response.  Our senior management team has directly been involved with the biggest conflagrations in Southern California’s history.  Our team provides a high degree of Emergency Response experience in dealing with real emergencies, and mass fire evacuations.

 

             CommTech Systems also provides Prototype and EDM (Engineering Development Models) Manufacturing for our customers that are interested in low level production of engineering models used for systems and environmental testing.  CommTech works directly with the design engineers to ensure that the production accturately represents the pre-production models.  We provide access to number of manufactures that provide enclosures, chassis, backplanes, test facilities, cabling, and other systems elements.  We provide Program Management to esure that projects are completed on time and within budget.  We report delivery conflicts and provide alternatives and solutions to parts delays.  As a small company we can respond immediately to configuration or desing changes, develop and find alternative suppliers.   Our services allow the designer to focus on design and product implemention, we provde the expertise and experience in manufacturing and assembly. 

 

             CommTech Systems develops and provides engineering support for wireless SCADA applications by providing wireless network system integration, site surveys, and installation for traffic and AMR sensors. We have provided CALTRANS with wireless networks that collect and process traffic data. In addition, we provide onsite technical support for wireless (802.15.4) network installations. We also provide integration and system support for RFID tracking and monitoring.
